Jeff Volk, Sports Execs Launch Sport Hiatus To Inform Amid Unique Time

After Hours - SF Giants’ Gabe Kapler on baseball in the ‘New Normal’

Formed soon after the COVID-enforced shutdown of live sports, Sport Hiatus set out to connect and engage the sports business community with content that highlights those who are excelling in creative programming and innovative thinking. The team, led by Jeff Volk and Carlo De Marchis, immediately thereafter launched live video Office Hours, a virtual series of weekly discussions featuring innovators, creators and thought leaders from across the sports business.

“NYVC Sports, SFVC Sports, and BostonVC Sports are all referenced in SportsTechX’s “North American SportsTech Report 2020 - The most comprehensive overview about the North American SportsTech ecosystem.” Additionally, our very own, Jeff Volk has been named as a North American #SportsTech Innovator (one of 28 individuals highlighted for collectively driving the growth and the success of the ecosystem through their engagement in new and leading initiatives).”

No Games. Sporthiatus Looks To Fill The Creative “What” In One Place

"One initiative spawned from the current dearth of live action is ‘SportHiatus’, an idea dreamt up by Carlo de Marchis, the group chief evangelist at Deltatre, a Turin-based data and streaming technology company which powers digital products and experiences for dozens of top rights holders."
